Biotech: dedicated sites in Nantes

Three "Atlanpolitan" sites, all located in Nantes, right next door to the research centers and industrial platforms, make for a highly propitious, ideal environment for companies at the development stage:  

Bio Ouest Ile de Nantes

Located in hall 13 of the Alstom industrial site, BioOuest Ile de Nantes puts the accent on research and biotechnologies. This site hosts: 

- Biofortis (Silliker Group): specialists in human nutrition,
- Atlangène Applications (Silliker Group): analysis and research laboratory providing services to agri-food.
- TcLand expression: a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development of immunological diagnostic tests and therapeutic molecules for the monitoring and treatment of transplants and auto-immune diseases.  

Bio Ouest Laënnec

Bio Ouest Laënnec is complementary to Bio Ouest Ile de Nantes. This site is based on production activities, with an activity zone of 4.5 hectares and a business incubator that has been open since 2003. This site benefits from the proximity of the CHU Nord teaching hospital, Cyclotron Arronax and Atlantic Bio GMP (a viral vector production platform). 

Five companies are housed in the Bio Ouest–Laënnec building: 

- Algenics: a biotechnology company producing recombinant proteins from microalgae.
- Biocéane: a research and development company which markets a natural and innovative procedure for preserving sea products using starter cultures
- Filavie: a veterinary pharmaceutical company, which produces veterinary autovaccines.
- Biomatlante: manufactures bone substitutes 

La Géraudière

This site dedicated to agronomy, agri-food and life sciences hosts the following companies: 

- Eurofins: a company specializing in bio-analysis
- Toxilabo: Analyzes toxic risks
- Adriant (Silliker Group): sensorial analysis
- Food Development: Consultancy in agri-food development and innovation
- Capsulae: development of microencapsulated products 

The site also groups together INRA, ENITIAA (with a technological room available), and the Maison de l’Agriculture and CTCPA (food technical centers).
