Enerdigit is an actor participating to energy transition and smart grid development. We are a demand response aggregator for big electricity consumers, mainly industrial, and we bring flexibility solutions for french electricity grid.
The principle of demand response is to encourage energy users to reduce demand where possible when the grid is under pressure, so the freed up capacity can be deployed elsewhere.
We can ask all electricity consumers who contract with us to reduce their electricity usage by stopping one or several electrical appliances during a short time when the grid needs it. Companies earn money from that. They receive money for every peak event, if they manage to reach the electricity reduction milestones specified in their contracts.
