Huge success for the 36th IASP (International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation) World Conference at La Cité Nantes Congress Centre, France last week, under the High Patronage of the President of the French Republic.
Innovation ecosystems from the entire world (Innovation Hubs, Science and Technology Parks, Incubators, Clusters…) met from September 23 to 27 around the theme of the 4th Industrial Revolution, its impact on people and society and their role as accelerators and catalysts of these essential transitions for the planet and the knowledge economy.

First Highlight of the Event
Johanna Rolland, President of Nantes Métropole and Atlanpole, spoke live from Bruxelles at the end of the Opening Ceremony to announce to the delegates that Nantes was awarded the same day by the European Commission “European Capital of Innovation 2019” as Amsterdam, Athènes, Paris and Barcelone before.
After being the International Hub of Innovation during one week, Nantes is now for one year European Capital of Innovation.
